Tater is one of the most popular of the miniature horses, well known to his many fans in Johnson County where he has made special appearances as a therapy horse. He is a sandy brown with a blonde tail and mane. Tater Tot was rescued in rural Indiana and arrived at Mary’s farm starved and unhealthy. He has thrived on regular food, care and exercise and is now around 18 years old. He gladly goes into the small trailer to visit senior homes in Lone Tree, Hills and Solon, and to Regina High School and Zion Lutheran Church in Iowa City.
